HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and Zappi Push Martech From Assist to Execute

HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and Zappi Push Martech From Assist to Execute

Three martech vendors shipped features in July 2026 that move their AI layers from suggesting an action to taking one. HubSpot now runs and bills for agent workflows across its CRM. ActiveCampaign's AI creates and launches paid campaigns on a competitor's ad platform. Zappi's AI makes creative-testing calls that used to require a human panel. None of this is new AI. What changed is scope.

HubSpot's Agent Hub arrives, and the free ride ends

HubSpot launched Agent Hub and Agent Builder in public beta on July 23, 2026, for Professional and Enterprise Smart CRM customers (HubSpot, 2026). Agent Hub gives marketing, sales and service teams one place to see every AI agent running across the business, each with live status, recent results, and outcome-based organization tied to go-to-market goals. Agent Builder is a no-code canvas for assembling custom agents from the same customer context: deal history, contact records, call transcripts, buying signals.

HubSpot also confirmed a pricing change alongside the launch. Agents that ran free during the Breeze Studio beta now consume credits (MarTech, 2026). That detail matters more than the interface. HubSpot spent over a year building agent features into its CRM. Billing for them signals the company now treats agent output as core product, not an add-on it is still trying to prove out.

ActiveCampaign puts Google Ads inside its own interface

ActiveCampaign launched a Google Ads connector for Active Intelligence, its AI engine, on July 8, 2026 (Business Wire, 2026). The connector lets marketers build and launch Google Performance Max campaigns without leaving ActiveCampaign, using conversational prompts instead of switching platforms and logins. It includes access to Google's generative asset builder, currently in beta, for producing new ad images, or marketers can pull assets already stored in ActiveCampaign's own Content Manager.

Performance Max already automates ad placement across Search, YouTube and Display from a single campaign brief. ActiveCampaign's move removes the remaining manual step: campaign setup and the platform switch, folding a Google product into a third-party interface controlled by prompt instead of by a media buyer.

Zappi automates the testing step advertisers used to skip

Zappi released Amplify AI and a companion workspace called Amplify Hub on July 7, 2026 (PR Newswire, 2026). Amplify AI is built to evaluate high-volume digital and social video ads before launch, the ones most teams do not have the time or budget to test manually. Trained on millions of consumer survey responses, it uses synthetic respondents to predict audience reaction, which Zappi says it validated against human survey results at 84% accuracy (Zappi, 2026). Amplify Hub is a workspace for comparing creative variants across campaigns in one place.

That 84% figure is Zappi's own internal validation study, not an independently audited number, and it should be read with that caveat. The product is live now for customers in the US and UK, with additional markets planned later in 2026, though the company has not named which ones.

What the three announcements have in common

Each vendor moved its AI layer past suggestion and into execution: an agent that runs a workflow and costs money per run, an agent that spends ad budget on another company's platform, an agent that decides which creative gets shipped without a human panel seeing it first. That shift raises the same open question across all three launches: who is accountable when the agent's output is wrong, a mistargeted Performance Max campaign, creative that scored well against synthetic respondents but failed with real buyers, an agent workflow that runs incorrectly and burns credits doing it. None of the three announcements addresses that directly.

What to watch next

HubSpot has not published exact credit pricing for Agent Hub beyond the current beta period; that detail should surface when the beta closes. Zappi has said more markets are coming through the rest of 2026 without naming them. Both are worth checking against the launch claims once the free trial period and beta pricing give way to standard terms.
