HubSpot Renames Commerce Hub to Revenue Hub, Adds Live Tax Calc

What happened

HubSpot has renamed Commerce Hub to Revenue Hub and added two features that move it further into quote-to-cash territory: automated real-time sales tax calculation and buy-now-pay-later checkout through Klarna and Affirm. The rename and the underlying product changes rolled out as part of HubSpot's ongoing July 2026 update cycle, confirmed in the company's own product documentation and covered independently by MarTech and other industry outlets tracking the release.

Revenue Hub keeps every capability that existed under the Commerce Hub name: quoting, contracts, billing and payments inside the CRM. What's new is the tax and financing layer sitting on top of it.

The tax feature

The automated tax calculation prices sales tax on a quote using the line item's category and the buyer's address, covering businesses selling into the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, according to HubSpot's own knowledge base documentation. The notable detail is that it runs without requiring HubSpot Payments or Stripe to be configured as the processor, a dependency that previously kept smaller teams from using tax automation at all. A sales rep can now generate a quote with tax calculated correctly at the point of sale rather than routing it through finance or a separate tax tool afterward.

The financing feature

Buyers checking out through Revenue Hub can now split payment using Klarna or Affirm instead of paying the full contract value upfront. The seller is paid in full at the time of the transaction; the financing partner carries the repayment relationship with the buyer. For B2B sellers, the more likely use case is spreading out mid-size contract values rather than routine subscription renewals, since financing terms of this kind are generally aimed at one-time or upfront payments rather than recurring billing.

Why this matters

Quote-to-cash has historically lived outside the CRM: a rep builds a quote in Salesforce or HubSpot, then hands it to finance for tax, contracts and collections in a separate system. HubSpot's bet with Revenue Hub is that folding tax and financing directly into the CRM removes a handoff that slows down deal close, particularly for mid-market sellers who don't have a dedicated revenue operations tool like Zuora or a standalone CPQ platform.

It also puts HubSpot more directly in competition with Salesforce's own quote-to-cash stack, which has been assembled over several years through acquisitions including Spiff for incentive compensation and CPQ tooling built into Sales Cloud. HubSpot's version is narrower in scope so far, limited to quoting, tax and two BNPL providers rather than a full commission or CPQ suite, but the direction is the same: keep the revenue-generating workflow inside the CRM instead of routing it through adjacent finance systems.

What sales and RevOps teams should check

Teams already on Commerce Hub should confirm which quoting and payment features are gated behind their current plan tier before assuming tax automation or BNPL checkout is live on their account. HubSpot's public pricing pages and independent trackers show some disagreement on where the line sits between Professional and Enterprise access, which is worth confirming directly with HubSpot rather than assuming parity with the prior Commerce Hub tier structure.
